Diageo is a multinational alcoholic beverage company and the largest producer of spirits.
Create an interactive experience that introduces the newly repositioned brand and its new product line to a newer demographic, and gives them a way to stay updated about special events.
The Smirnoff Facebook application was designed to promote classic Smirnoff products and the new extensions to the product line, allowing users to learn more about the brand, new recipes and create their own signature cocktail. Special events could also be viewed within the app’s module. Recipes, media, and event details were easily shared via Facebook and Twitter. A custom-designed CMS was developed to help content remain fresh and allowed the marketing team to promote new items and events.
The brand was able to connect with its target audience using Facebook. The number of likes on the brand’s Facebook page nearly doubled throughout the campaign.
