The Strain, “A Tale of Two Outbreaks”

For the upcoming release of the first season TV series on Blu-ray and DVD, the goal of the digital online campaign was to target the niche “Dark Horse” core fanbase as well as Guillermo del Toro fans and demonstrate how the television series aligns with the graphic novel.
We created a custom interactive, responsive website that compared graphic novel original art panels with their corresponding scenes in the TV show using exclusive art, behind the scene interviews with the writer, and never before seen footage. Users were able to dive into grisly scenes and discover the truth behind the vampire virus. Users were rewarded with exclusive content by unlocking easter eggs. The unique user experience was accessible via all devices and platforms.
The site was a huge success and garnered a fifteen percentage click through rate for transactions.
